Well, one may to make some serious money is to be on the outlier list... and be right enough, often enough. I don't see his viewpoint either, but maybe he has some inside info he cannot share, or he's just having his fun with the Apple posters, or both.

RE: transition - Apple has done a lot of it very right. Considering all the potential pitfalls, Roseta has filled some gaps reasonably well and it looks like some decent hardware so far. But, the Adobe/CS thing is a big problem. HW/SW chicken/egg.

Apple's path is set and it is one of higher market share

We've been hearing "the path is set" for 4 years. Market share has barely budged.

When do we actually start walking the talk?

To my eyes, this transition is no better than any of the others I've been through. We're nearly a year in and NOT ONE of the most important applications has made the crossover, and won't for at least another 6-9 months. This is no better than the PPC switch.
