WLD: MBP vs MB?

A while back, you said you tried to get some MBPros into your lab, but the price was too high relative to Dell. You also said that you had anticipated that the iBook replacements may not fill your requirements.

Now that you have seen the specs on the MacBooks, would they meet your needs for the lab? I don't see much performance delta between these and the Pros. The Pros give you a fraction more GHz, GPU (is that a big deal for your needs?), ExpressCard slot, slightly larger screen (but that was a safe assumption all along) and.... not much else I guess.

I suppose the order was already placed, but would they be considered on a future purchase, or is there a no-starter in there somewhere?

PS: I may open a service to drill out the iSight camera to help people get into secure areas - I have a drill press in the basement ;-).

Market share and Apple

I see one difference, you are referring to one of Apple's product lines, the Macintosh. I was talking about the company, and thinking of changes in revenues and earnings over the past few years. We apparently have different metrics to which we pay attention.
