Yes Clinton did admit he made a mistake. Yes. The Clinton administration was to an extent obviously caught up in the deregulation fervor of the day, and complicit in it. Their treatment of Brooksley Born is part of the evidence of that .. if Democrats had had control of the Congress at the time (i think the Republicans may have had control then for 6 years, not sure) would the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ever have been? .. i'm not so sure of that ..

Now? I wonder if the Clinton administration's involvement in the deregulation debacle ..
in light of the conservative push, and multi successes on that (yes some of those conservatives were/are in the Democrat party) over many long years .. and in light of the the wide consensus on the merit of further deregulation of the time .. and in the fact (if it is, i'm still not sure on that) is that he was faced with a hostile Republican congress for some 6 years ..
and Clinton's signing of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act could be more forgivable than GWB's 'God told me to' invasion of Iraq ..
Can't argue that Clinton did not speak glowingly of the GLB bill (yes, it was three Republican's) at the time .. can't argue with the fact that he has admitted he was wrong, too ..
Has Bush ever admitted his 2003 invasion, which could very well have put in motion one of the worst, and longest lasting, calamities of the 21st Century was wrong?
Actually .. lol .. just now it occurs that neither Bush nor Hillary should be held responsible for the actions of George jr. or Bill .. lol, but that's politics the media .. and life, eh .. oh, unless they themselves were involved in the other's?, of course ..
