4 Gallons into the 9 twice to equal 8 in the 9 bucket...now fill the 4 again and top off the 9 which leaves 3 in the 4...now dump out the 4 and fill the 4 from the 9 which leaves 3 in the 9 now dump out the 4 fill and add to the 9 this makes 7 now fill the 4 and top off the 9 this leaves 2 in the 4

OT: got the solution

Fill the 9

pour to the four.

9 becomes 5

empty 4

pour 5 into 4

9 gallon bucket has one gal

empty 4 again

pour 1 gal from the 9 to the 4 gallon

refill 9 bucket with stream

fill 4 bucket that has the one gallon three gallons

leaves 9 gallons at 6 gallons

empty 4 bucket

fill the 4 gallon bucket with the 6 from the 9

leaves 2 gallons left in the 9 gallon bucket

Drink the water and have a great day !!!!
