OT: Close! But filling the 4 from the 9 would leave you 5 gallons, not 3 (as highlighted below).

snipe - I can definitely help you - you obviously haven't been married long enough to know the few rules.
Rule one:
Your wife is ALWAYS right!
Rule two:
You can be right IF you agree with your wife.
Rule three: If you win an argument, and you did NOT agree with your wife, it is only because it was to HER advantage for you to win. So, whenever you win an argument, be very wary.

Basically, I never try to win an argument. For me, my pride is served by seeing HOW LONG I can argue before I give in.
