Ask any Infectious disease doctor what they would prescribe for ABSSSI and it would be vancomycin 9 times out of 10.
Daptomycin is non inferior to V and B is non inferior to V.
V is the drug of choice currently.
Now if B proves to be non inferior to V in a single dose or even 2 day dosing, B becomes the drug to go to for several reasons.
1. one day dose or 2
2. equal to V
3. no resistance
4. excellent compliance
5. lower overall cost
6. ease of administration
