Fyodor, you really think that the more agressive memory controller of the Athlon 64 can compensate for only having one memory channel. I find that hard to believe.

fyodor, you have to question the statements of a marketing guy out on a Tech Tour, who talks about a 190mm Hammer(though that might just be a geek.com typo) and who "claimed that the Athlon XP "kicks the P4's ass" in the overwhelming majority of bencmarks".
I do agree with you re: memory and timings, though. A64 will clearly be much more aggressive there and no ECC/registered to slow things down. It certainly ought to be able to take full advantage of low-latency memory from Corsair or Kingston. I just hope they can ramp up the frequency with the 1MB cache, or at least 512KB!
