Re: Hey just show me one single professional analyst that agrees with you, just one !
It's amazing how deep a hole you are willing to dig yourself into to defend your point of view.
You are proposing some positively absurd product mixes in order to make a $98 ASP work without discounts... things like a $300 average for the entire X2 line, when the lowest list price in the set is $301 (#msg-10690798)... or a 95% mix of Athlon 64 3200+, but only 5% combined of all the flavors of 3500+ to 4000+ (#msg-10690954), and so forth....
You go ahead and kid yourself as much as you need to, Mas, but the bus to reality has already left, and you're the only one not on it.
"My guess is that OEM are buying tray parts for about 75% of the list outright." #msg-10683045
"I think your numbers look good. Now lop 10% off all the segment ASPs and I think you've got a decent model at an overall ASP of $98." #msg-10684772
"I think AMD is giving deeper discounts to the OEMs than they are their distribution partners. >> Almost certainly. HP is likely the biggest beneficiary" #msg-10686993
Is this the new litmus test of a theory or supposition? It won't be considered plausible unless a “professional analyst” also believes it and has published that fact?
