Personally, I think that "multilinguicity" (this one follows my old principle, when you don't know a word, "Invent") is very important for intellectual and cultural development (one of my kids has working knowledge of 5 languages and is now slowly mastering a sixth). But making it a state dictum to start public kindergarten exclusively in Spanish is putting road blocks in the way of these kids.
