No one here has advocated that Spanish (or any other language) be banned - that is a ludicrous assertion. Spanish is probably the most taught second language in our schools, rightfully replacing French, in my opinion. But there are areas in America where Spanish has become the de facto language for most of the population and that is fostered by the government conducting business in both languages and using Spanish as the primary language in some of the schools - that has proven to be a mistaken policy of "political correctness" or "diversity" that serves more to divide us than unite us.
What I do advocate is that all government business be conducted in English, which would be the legal language of the US. If two folks who spoke Spanish wanted to conduct business in Spanish, that is fine and no one would object to that.
But the government should be under no obligation to conduct business, publish documents, laws, rules or regulations in any language other than English, nor should they be expected to provide education in any other language but English except when needed to teach basic English to those who do not speak it.
