chwdrhed: I think you are opening a can of worms trying to define on topic posts as spam. To be fair, you can't only look at posts that have information that may be negative to EDIG as an investment, but also repetitions of information that are hyping the same things over and over. How many times a day do EDIG investors need to be reminded that good things are happening with IFE, Eclipse, Wireless, OEMs, etc.? Do they forget?
I have never reported any of these as spam, but under your definition, they would be. There are also people who simply repost the exact same post (such as a PR) that another member posted just a few posts earlier. These aren't removed as spam.
You are now going to have to delete a lot of the positive posts as well. I can think of one or two people who would have about 50% of their posts deleted because they keep reminding people of the same "potential" upside.
How are you going to handle repetitive inane hype?
