BASIN ST: Truly Comforting/Apprec.Sincerity
Truly understand your comment about going with one's instinct and violating one's own rules which possibly apply to some of us here
as NWBO is a unique situation and does NOT follow the normal script IMHO!
Don't believe many on this MB can relate but we'd welcome other inputs. Here's mine based on lots of experience some of which I mentioned in passing already but did not express this: Your acknowledgement as a trader has generated these comments of mine: it's very demanding, taxing, and can be nerve racking as one has a bevy of monitors to focus on and of course subject to market/industry/company vagaries etc so I do believe I understand where you're coming from Basin. I've faced that 18 mos ago fighting institutional traders to build a large position in ANIK. ("almost like yours in NWBO") as it was less liquid and not having their Level 3 or HFT tools. I was successful and gained a lot of first hand, eye opening experience in this first for me! IMHO 95%+ of Fundamental Stock Analysts never add to their tool set! let alone understanding Technical Analysis (Charting) which is a KEY factor in trading. I have added these to my arsenal and always looking for optimization in that quest to build the complete package.
For our viewers:
Trading has become the biggest $rewarding Wall St career as evidenced by the extreme example of Andrew J. Hall >$100 mln annual compensation: He runs Philbro that was the main source of the $2 billion in pretax revenue Citigroup received in commodities trading in 2009. Was sold to Occidental Petroleum due to US bailout of Citicorp which acquired Philbro in 1998. Andrew J Hall is 80% owner of Philbro! The biggest annual earners from Goldman Sachs are traders!
Correct me if I'm wrong here:
However in 2014 ALL Wall St firms for that segment of the business report listless volume and reduced violatilty within most all trading markets and instruments worldwide.
Thanks Basin for your sincerity.
WE are all in this together: So everyone pls put your ego on checkout mode and be more considerate and deliberate when you post.
