I believe some people are simply evil just as you do.
But I also argue that mass acceptance of this evil is not inevitable.
Most Americans have acquiesced in Bush's crimes so far because they have not had to sacrifice anything as yet (aside form those unlucky few on he ground in Iraq or being laid off by downsizing companies) Indeed many have been enriched (at least on paper) by the credit bubble.
Support for Bush-- already low -- will plunge to near zero when the next recession/bear market hits IMHO.
