Alley....I have always appreciated your posts over the years and have missed them over the last 18 months. I appreciate you sharing what is probably one of the most personal things in your life.

I donate almost every year to Muscular Dystrophy and for many years have donated my time locally for the Jerry Lewis Telethon. I will be my pleasure to follow one of your links to make a donation.

Thanks for letting us get to know you a little better.

P.S. It's GREAT news to hear that your grandson does not have Muscular Dystrophy!

Alley, re MDA. You should be happy to know... Last year I was "volunteered" by an anonymous customer or someone to "go to jail" for MDA. I want you to know that this board was very, very supportive. I made several posts here asking for my "bail" and only a few posters got a little tired of my repeated pleas. In the end, I was able to raise over $2600 I believe... maybe it was $2800. Anyway, over half of it came from members of this board. I got money pledged from all ends of the sprectrum... traders, longs, etc. etc. I was the second largest fundraiser in the Lufkin Texas fundraiser, second only to Temple Inland... a very large company.

I felt somewhat uncomfortable doing it again this year, not only on this board but with my fellow employees and customers, so I have passed the baton over to another fellow employee this year... and I think he is struggling to get even close to what this board's support allowed us to contribute last year. I can share his website as well for an easy contribution to MDA if you or jimlur would like... but thanks for bringing this to the board.

Alley, keep up the good fight. I have done some volunteer work in past years for MDA, and I still support a few friends who always seem to find themselves in MDA jail. It's such a devastating disease. May you and your family be richly blessed.

Stay strong and keep fighting.
