The PR still smells a little fishy.
I know we want to believe that some guy came in and, with the stock around .25 to .30, bought $3MM worth at $1 per share, plus the option to do it again over the next 5 years.
If you were looking at that from the outside (not as someone holding GPIW), what would your reaction be?
I have heard the argument that "that's the only we he can get that many shares without blowing up the market" but I don't buy it. He paid too much.
I am calling BS and think there might be a type or something here - not an intentional deception, but something lost in translation or somehow transposed due to having similar numbers in multiple places.
I am interested, but won't be buying until I can confirm with the company that
--they sold this guy 3MM shares for $3MM, with the only other condition being the option to buy another bunch later
--we fully understand whether these shares are free trading or restricted
--etc.
I would love to be wrong but this sounds too good to be true. And if it sounds to good to be true (especially in penny land!) it probably is.
