Hey, I'm all for endeavors that have even some likelihood of success. But I just don't see this one working. I think the big miss though is that you guys are ignoring naked shorting, which is often quite legal. And who does it? Of course, not the retail shorts (they can't), but funds. Your strategy has no effect on them. Unfortunate, but true... I'd be all for it if you could get a big enough audience to be willing to switch at least their NW shares over to a cash only account and could ALSO do something about the naked shorting funds engage in. But since the former is unlikely and the latter impossible, Ima focus on things I can control.
Trust me, 6 million shares are vastly in the naked short camp. There's nothing you can do about it. A large number are probably even illegally so. Fail-to-deliver fines are often less than interest earned. There is no penalty for their illegal activity. You can't change this corrupt system; you have to navigate around it, like a smart, small bird in flight.
