Either Optionhouse, Ameritrade, and Smith Barney all have different rules for how they govern the # of shares they loan out or we got a similar situation to the Too Big To Fail one, where a Too Big To Know What the Hell is Going On Even Though I Work Here situation is going on. Troublesome. Like you say, it seems a no margin account is safest.
