Ok, that doesn't tell me much but let me share with you my personal experiences with windows PCs versus Mac.
For over 10 yrs I suffered through about every problem ever encountered by anyone cursed with the unfounded urge to save money using a windows PCs over a more expensive Mac. After countless hours of frustration (read hours upon hours spent on the phone trying to understand a service tech located somewhere in Asia) and nearly countless dollars spent on maintenance and antivirus subscriptions I finally threw up my hands and relinquished to defeat. I bought a Mac. I won't say that I have never had a computer problem since then, but any problem I may have had has been ridiculously easy to rectify compared to windows. And to top that off, when Apple stopped support of my original OS X, I was given the option to down load and install the latest and greatest OS X Mavericks for free. No problem, went slick as a whistle.
So getting back to the original subject, I personally run TOS for trading software through TDA. Don't recall just exactly if there was problem to get it to run problem free, but it couldn't have been much more than a quick call to my broker to resolve because it wasn't serious enough to stick in my mind, what little of that is left, lol.
