Morning Lounge, still don't know if we have any new Yorkers in here but feel free to PM me,I can let you know what I know about whats going on around Long Island!
It seems the winter has taken its toll , the Stripers are starting to move in around the island but the numbers are waaaay down. The peconics have weakies and bass , but the surf guys are struggling to put a decent catch together. There is bait around but the bass are very quiet. I fear that the bass streaked by in deeper water and never really came in to shore in great numbers. All of the people I spoke to over the winter , who fished in Delaware and Maryland,virginia , said that they have never seen the bass numbers so low. We will see what the remainder of the spring brings as the waters warm up!!
