Mind you, Fleischman and Pons work is being replicated (though with similar irreproducibility) in five other labs around the world. They are a classic example of "big physics" trying to keep their billions of pork to work on high temperature laser induced fusion and keeping guys like Pons and Fleischman in exile. Eventually, cold fusion in one way or another will be mastered, the main problem will be energy conversion but I won't go into details on that. Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you read... That is, of course, my very humble turnips opinion...
