No established scientist who values his reputation would allow himself to be quoted as saying he discovered a "previously unrecognized source of energy". Only amateurs and hucksters talk that way.

A "previously unrecognized source of energy" would be the greatest discovery since E=mc2, far greater than "cold fusion", which *only* violated the laws of nuclear physics, not energy conservation.

Either we are witnessing history being made, and Newton and Einstein will have a peer, or Fleischmann and Pons will hire the guy.
