Although your Halfway House Board brought a lot of RB Members over here for free before the change, it is easy to see that IHUB doesn't seem to need that kind of "membership help" any longer.
What about all of the SI members that might want to check IH out now that SI has been sold?
I think Churak's HH is more valuable than ever and if "free" members from SI want to learn the ropes (and have some fun in the process) they should be directed there also!

Original dpb5...........................................

I respectfully disagree. The trouble with free members arises on stock boards not the off stock boards. How many times has MATT swooped on the EDIG or IDCC boards & had a JAIL roundup? So I take issue with Matt's comments.

I understand what you are saying re the off topic boards are a benefit of premium membership BUT do you not think that if free members had access to the non stock related boards, they would want to become premium subscribers to obtain the value added benefits attached thereto? I am referring mainly to the unlimited posting and PM features.

I also take issue with this comment of yours & wish to set the record straight:

Although your Halfway House Board brought a lot of RB Members over here for free before the change, it is easy to see that IHUB doesn't seem to need that kind of "membership help" any longer

I personally brought over only 7 or 8 people from RB during the recent membership drive. They were people that I knew for at least 2 years on message boards. Of those 8, 2 signed up for Life Subscriptions & one signed up for a monthly. I didn't SPAM iHub anywhere & only contacted people that I knew. This was opposed to entire clubs coming over or the spamming of iHub all over the net for new members by some MDC participants. So when you say that iHub does not need that kind of membership help any longer I think you are 180 degrees wrong. iHub needs exactly those kind of members that were part of a previous Community who want to be part of the iHub Community. And those Communities include non stock related boards.

I am not cynical about the situation; I just happen not to agree with Matt & Bob's philosophy re the value of non stock related boards. However, it is their business & they will do what they feel is in the best interests of iHub to steer the company in the direction they best see fit.
