Wouldnt it make more sense to keep the two sites different and separate enuf to gain more market share? As I see it, if you merge the sites, you effectively just bought a customer list that you may have gotten for free by spamming the other site with a really sweet introductory offer or just by slowly taking their customers by doing a better job. By letting the two boards have their own distinctions, I believe you would appeal to different crowds and maybe even get a few people paying for both sites. I used to check RB and IHub daily (til rb irritated me). What fun would it have been if you made the two boards one?
