That's my first impression of the idea of complete incorporation of the two, NoMoDo ... don't like it ... without having thought it out much, admittedly .... but, vive le difference, imho, at least such natural difference as develops within each .... a lot of practical synergies can be gained without lumping them into one, and it does seem like there would be business advantage in retaining the two distinct in some ways

But i'd sure like to see SI's subjectmarks page load within say ten times the 1.002 seconds of the iHub one, lol ... the Dryer version used to load first only the threads on which you had new messages, but the go2net version waits until it loads the whole thing, and that it does veeeerry slowly

Search is another thing, good workable search-this-thread and search-this-poster, like at iHub .... last-50 on each poster too, i use that a lot here, it's a great way to catch up in a hurry

I agree! SI does have a different customer base! Plus you may already have some SI people already here. You could add the features of Ihub making it better but you did actually pay for the name itself which may have added value!

Well, that bridge really is a long way away. The current plan includes combining the two into one site, but nothing that far into the future is etched in stone. Long-term, it doesn't work for either company for them to be competitors vying not only for the same market, but for my time. If it's ever to a point where two different people (not me) are doing each of the jobs each site requires, then who knows.
