The GS report focuses purely on HCV patients "under care" which they put (based on GILD's own figures) at 385k in the US and 272k in the EU5. GILD suggests there are 4.1m patients in the US with HCV.
The report basically says that the "under care" patients are not enough to support GILD's consensus sales through 2019, but on a quick read it (somewhat bizarrely) doesn't address the remaining patients not yet under care.
And just so you know the quality of this survey, it shows about 20% of surveyed doctors think that Abbvie has "better" convenience than GILD, with about 30% saying "same."
