Tenchu, it's not about lost Itanium revenues this week, or quarter, it's about yet another blow to public perceptions of the Itanium family. Slow on legacy code, hot, arcane, and now, unreliable. Sure, it may all be fixed with "the next generation", once again, but after a while, people begin to look elsewhere. And there are an increasing number of viable alternatives.
