olddog, you are correct that it depends on what gave rise to the deferred tax asset to begin with as to where it gets reversed. Other than that, I don't know what the particular rules are. I just wish I knew where I heard or read that the majority would be reverse to Paid in Capital and not through the income statement, unless I just dreamed it LOL. Only a couple weeks to wait either way.
