Cormark: I'm sure they didn't research the company before putting this out:
While Sphere 3D (“Sphere”) is an early-stage company just approaching commercial rollouts in 2014, we believe it has the potential to be a major disruptive technology in a market called virtualization. The Company is looking to commercialize its proprietary Glassware 2.0 (“Glassware”) technology, a platform that enables access to content and fully-featured applications from any cloud-connected device, regardless of the underlying operating system or hardware, without sacrificing any functionality, or performance while utilizing minimal amounts of infrastructure and network resources. Bottom line, we like Sphere for the following reasons: 1. It plays right into cloud computing, one of the major technology trends today, with its innovative Glassware solution that has the potential to be a major disruptive technology in the virtualization market, a key enabler of cloud services; 2. Its Glassware solution is on the cusp of commercial rollout with both Corel and Overland Storage (“Overland”) which we believe will provide the technology validation while driving the financials this year (2014) for this pre-revenue name; and, 3. Our conservative valuation essentially only incorporates contribution from existing partnerships (Corel and Overland) which means there is potentially meaningful incremental upside to our target price as it expands its partner channel and adds new customers.
