Just the opposite out here in San Diego North County, Al. The 1-2 year old Lowes still is echo-empty compared to the beehive-busy Home Depot (8-10 yrs old) a block away on same congested main blvd., even though the Home Depot is a virtual stand-alone (McD's in lot), while Lowes anchors a center with Best Buy, Staples, gas station, & dozen plus shops & restaurants including In&Out, Quiznos, Krispy Creme, Panera Bread, Applebees, Noodles, etc. and much bigger lot. Both are just as easy or hard to get in & out of.

Products & prices are comparable, but service is way better in this Home Depot.

And I even have a brother-in-law who works for Lowes.
