IMO, Harry has been very well compensated as a venture capitalist to the company....having stepped in with funds at a critical time (as you noted). I know a lot of VCs that would love to have the return he did/has/may continue to have.
To paint him as a suitable, active COB to a wireless IPR technology company is stretching it quite a bit don't you think? In some minds he is even a detriment to the company because of his background (or lack of relevant background) and style ...especially if he is participating in any outside meetings. Patenting the color of a dry cleaning press pad and then suing someone for using it should not qualify you to be a well compensated, full time, active leader of this company in this century (as you now try to paint him).
IMO, IDCC is trying hard to shake the tax collector status they've held for years....guys like Dr. B, Lemmo, Kaewall, Miller, etc are the ones making it happen.
I've been publically mum on my "new options" stance while evaluating the pros and cons.....I'll let you know shortly how I will vote my proxy.
