But developing WhatsApp didn't involve an extremely messy business dependent upon everything going just right in a huge constellation of natural phenomena and people in poverty stricken areas of the world.

Wow. Development there(at whats App) had many things of which I am not certain. As I said....it was ONLY to make the point that it is better to develop a business, then sell it. You made the point that you would have sold to someone else to get it done quicker. The point for me is to get the most ROI. That is business.

The risks are a different subject, but reducible. The fact is that countries clearly want KBLB to make MS in their country. The silk industry is not messy. It has been ongoing for 1000's of years. There is no reason to sweat the "what if's." If you sweat them, then go were the risk is lower and the ROI is much lower.

I think you are again blowing this out of proportion. It does not require that everything falls into place and it hasn't. But silk has been produced in those poverty stricken countries forever. Anytime a company wants to get into a new business, they either develop it or buy it. Each of these endeavors has its own set of problems, that must be worked out, none of which ever go as planned. But you still work the plan and adapt. Great business solutions come about through adaptations. We were created to adapt, some better or easier than others.

“The game of speculation is the most uniformly fascinating game in the world. But it is not a game for the stupid, the mentally lazy, the man of inferior emotional balance, or for the get-rich-quick adventurer. They will die poor.” Jesse Livermore
