Livermore suffered from a serious untreated clinical depression in his later years which surely limited his effectiveness.

I still find some of his exploits and market calls quite extraordinary.

When he was at his peak, he was a short to intermediate investor/trader par excellence

I believe his theories and his life are indeed worth studying.
