My betting the farm was not mistake (especially given my position size compared to the market); my mistake or failure rather was not listening/ following through with my discipline (the pps needed to be $10+ going into the guidance...I should have liquidated 100% of my shares); it Turokman telling me multiple times to wake, another person via discussion telling me the same to realize that I had f'd up. I took a nearly $6k loss in 5 days from $34k to 28k (all I got). It's not an absolute. I could tell myself I'm up 900% on last six months, who cares its free money....I would never bs myself like that; but I would also never have nothing. That is how I go into every trade; it's my money, but the idea of having nothing doesnt exist.
Nobody said your strategy is flat out wrong. I do not want to speak for jltg, but I think we see eye to eye on the subject of going forward. I go to Brasil atleast once a year, I have a railroad in my front yard,....but I want more and I want more of everything! I want to go to Brasil 5 times, 10 times a year, via private jet if I desire, I want to work until I die (albeit when I want to work); but none of those desires include leaving my family behind - I want them all to take the ride
You assume that my all in is all or nothing; that could not be further from the truth. That would be like me saying since you only risk 10% of your holding in high risk investments that you only want a better 10% life for your family.

When calculating your risk vs reward; how do you calculate?
The race is 2pm. It's 8am and 2 horses are going at 5:1 and 1 horse is going at 10:1. At 1:55pm the 2 horses at 5:1 are at 7:1 and the 10:1 horse is a 20:1.....you do realize the 20:1 is the better risk vs reward

Obus could be huge. With the ever growing os he actually could be buying more without filing; which would make things interesting (could be good or bad/ complicated) or he could have been the Q3 private equity fincaner for credit line they mentioned and now things got ugly. Brad didn't want to give in to demands (listen) and raised the os to stop take over, board seats, etxcc. Ochre is pissed and doesn't want to hang around; we've got problems.
Contemplate the idea of how much BIG money has been at there doors? They have eaten up so much unnessary CASH! Don't you think the first investor would have preffered 1000% instead of 200%? Instead of diving up the risk to others? Do they go down shark waters again? How much more money will have to churn if so? The os is 10b++. How much cash is needed to facilitate the cash they want (let's say a low $10m)? So this 10m financer wants his money, but we also have to deal with the other sellers....$10m cash is 10m shares at $1, play the math....touching hypothetical numbers
Or maybe obus wants nothing more and is happy....if he's actively trading the stock I would bet he is in $8 ish. With $8m out of his portfolio doesn't say much other than he is comfortable enough; even to chase it to $1 or take a loss?
Obus/Joshua: as of 12/31/13 had 1.1m shares which was 9.9%. They never superseded this amount of 9.9% during 12/31/13. They could have traded everyday....they filed within the required 45 days of year. He may be selling or buying or trading, but he is not exceeding 9.9%. Did os grow and he bought more? Are we waiting for Joshua and obus to take more shares and then file they are no longer a group?
