I agree WJC was not the average serviceperson's friend.
When I said "there is talk", I was referring to a BOSTON GLOBE op-ed article (sometime late March, perhaps around the 26th) outlining some Vet benefits up for discussion to be cut.
Title of the article: "War Distracts From Bush's Budget Cuts". Hopefully all who were in favor of the invasion* of Iraq and sending our servicepeople over there to take over another country will put pressure on their Senators to be sure Vet benefits are not cut.
Many people were in favor of the invasion of Iraq, even if they were not quite sure why; I continue to believe it was a disgrace.
Last night was the opening of GWB's '04 campaign.
