I am not qualified in that league, really! <g> so bear with me a little bit.
You sound like GUS, I respect you both a lot, with vast knowledge in investing.
Let me offer some counter points :
#1 That is already accounted for with 100+ new hires for last 20 months? They didn't even mention any progress in their SOC programs?
#2 True, but only a part of that becomes available for certain calender years.
#3 I would consider it would be mutually benefitial to company and employees if mgmt to set such a higher target price to exercise as you suggest,(remenber that famous 4-fer?) but if you look @ the past dealings one would not be so optimistic. Cases like CSCO or MSFT which has sustain earnings to execute in the past environment like you said is OK but only they are giants.
#4, Agree, it would also be true if they invite equity investment from say NOKIA.
#5 TRUE. How about a stock split if mgmt is so confident that they can execute the plan, or do we hear anything new from the mgmt other than conserving cash?
