jean...every purchase and sale of any option has an effect on the share price...there is no way around it...whether the effect is immediate or delayed...in your case by you selling puts to the options mm...it caused him to become short the stock...so his offsetting hedge would be a purchase of shares or calls...or a sale of some other put
