The funny thing is x86 also comes out on top in other markets.

You think I'm arguing with you about this. I'm not.

Intel developed x86 faster than anyone else because they had $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ coming in thanks to the Wintel monopoly.

They built a significant lead.

Now Wintel is waning and significant $$$$$ is diverting away from Wintel.

This is the current state of affairs.

I think $$$$$$$ flowing more evenly among competitors will adversely affect the size of Intel's lead.

You appear to contend that Intel is beyond the reach of anything.

To me, that sounds like a dubious proposition.
