I listened to a fascinating program on Tom Ashbrook's 'On Point' NPR program this morning. Tom was interviewing Craig Venters, creator of the Human Genome Project. Venters is collaborating with Novartis (since 2010) to create influenza vaccines and has replicated, through internet code transmission,the H7N9 virus. He claims they can now create a vaccine for the virus (or any flu virus) in just 4 days. If his claims are true, this is a development with widespread implications for NNVC. See J.
