well a bunch of stocks have a bit more to go down before hitting bottom channels, much more for rectangles, the nas mclellan summation has a bit more up, the nyse has a tiny bit more up and the sp 500 damned if I know.
seriously the diffference between rectangles and channel trpezoids might be time.
but individual stocks have a lot of different paterns. its only when a point averaged basket of stocks start turning the other way that the whole index goes down ( obviously). there are also rabbits and laggards which are the first to go up and the last to go down
