JLS, It's OK to not understand everything in the universe, If you don't understand that price patterns can be viewed in a different way than you do, you don't have to try to tear down that system. Most people view price patterns as a confusing squiggly line and anything to help decipher that mess is good.

sloping forks and channels might be pretty but they are not the root cause of price reversals. The root cause of reversals, when there is history (which is the vast majority of the time), are the previous reversals that happened at the same price.

So viewing price reaction to a pencil thin TL or fork tine reversing and having to gap up and down to pass through is purely coincidence? How about when it does so when there is no history? That should tip you off that there might be more to this than what you're seeing?
