According to the CC, imaging studies can't/don't provide evidence of "normalization," and, thus, wouldn't help Tefferi in defining a CR or a PR. From what I could understand from the CC, the imaging studies give a relative size of spleen reduction, but a CR or PR requires a complete "normalization." This is done through palpitation. (I don't pretend to understand why an imaging study couldn't provide the same information.)
