Cimi.....you're getting "carried away" with conspiracy theories.....

that 1871 incorporated country is all "donkey dust".....

I lived in NJ.....a small state.....all the cities and towns were municipal corporations.....

now, I'm in Florida.....a bigger state with a lot of land.....some towns are incorporated....some are just "in the county".....

prior to 1871, DC was simply territory that had been set aside for the federal government in 1797.....the district was chartered in 1801.....

I believe you are referring to the District of Columbia Organic Act of 1871.....that's a myth because DC was charted as a municipality in 1801 thru the Charter Act of the District of Columbia.....
