the rain did start up again but stopped early this afternoon.

Midas didn’t get NO rain… It's gotta be all his fault…Yeah, that’s gotta be it.
He musta chose to dance and chant while bearing fur pelts, or cloth, or something?

Peggy Sue, if one steps back and looks at the situation of low-water crossings with a cynical eye, one must conclude that choices are made, and that not all choices are good.
Whether these choices are based on information gleaned from TV news reports, Public Service Announcements on Radio or TV, Newspapers etc., the basic instinct of survival, or none of the above; one cannot say that the vast majority did not know better.
Sorry, one cannot protect *all* people from their choices. That’s Life.
