Limejuice: As we have seen the defining of a specific word/phrase in a claim is a key element in determining patent validity and/or infringement. Since even experts differ on claim wording interpretations, and as I do not have a technical background, I do not offer opinions on the patent claims.

As far as "does the 613 claims construct ruling have any bearing on the case?", I cannot say. However, each patent has to stand on its own specific wording. In this regard, in the ALJ's 800 determination, he discusses various claim construction phrases that were in dispute, no one being the same phase whose meaning was reversed by CAFC in their 613 decision.

In regard to the 613 district court case being stayed, both the 613 and 800 cases are stayed pending a final determination, that is after all appeals. For the 868 case, the related district court cases are active and ongoing, since the respondents did not request a stay.
