Is it not true a stroke patient always gets a cartoid doppler for stenosis, holter for afib, and echo for vegetative valve? Amaurosis fugax is an example where arthero emboli is generated from arthersclerotic carotid arteries obstructing the rential vessels. Artherosclerosis makes the vessel prone to damage and insitu thrombosis. Accelerated artheroscleoriss explains the increased in MI event, peripheral vascular disease, and stroke pretty well in ponatinib treated patients.

Sure. Its done are trying to find the cause of an embolic stroke Other than finding afib most of the studies you describe end up being normal for age. FYI its not atheroemboli but is clot from plaque ulcerations or occasionally the plaque ulceration leads to plaque dissection causing abrupt vascular occlusion.

I think you are really reaching if you think accelerated atherosclerosis is inclusig's mechanism of injury but think what you want.
