Hi JB,

I'm not saying "no sports". I'm saying doing it with taxpayers funds is uncalled for. We don't need govt. doing Little League. If parents want to send kids to sports activities, dance class, snowboarding, Scouts, etc., fine, just don't ask my wife to get a job so we can pay the taxes required to fund it.

School sports likely started as follows - a school's kids played softball or football at recess. Then they realized the other school's kids did the same. They said - "hey let's play each other this Saturday". Fine and good. But now this is a huge beast way beyond anything required for kids to get a little exercise and have some friendly inter-school competition after hours.

When you break the big laws, you do not get freedom; you do not even get anarchy. You get the small laws.
