hey cork, I am "way to easy" on everyone,,,,
including you. I know a number of peeps who follow Dent and through the years he has made some good calls. He also makes a good 'fogey' for the CNBC'ers to make fun of. But some of what he says is on target. Obviously deleverage/deflation has been a big factor so far in this debt mess that capitulated in 2000 with an ever increasing prop up since. He thinks the overhang is so vast it will overwhelm any money printing. Several times I have called into Bob Brinker a highly respected guy and he thinks everything the Fed has done is just lovely and the heroes have done all they can to make up for the business and politician misdeeds. I argue the Fed is the seemingly clueless bubble blower and facilitator of the worst kind of financial crookery the world has ever seen. They will not be able to willingly end the QE trap set in place as even a mention of taper sends interest rates soaring which of course will kill the deficit spending scheme the Govs have going. Easy money ruins the market place and the longer this goes on the worse the trap noose tightens. QE will end when the Market Makes It End with what? A dollar collapse, another horrible World War? I can't answer these questions and those who think they can look foolish like Dent.
