haha, sorry. A judgment obtained out of state has to be "domesticated" in the state where the judgment debtor (here, yippy) has property, in order for the judgment creditor (here, Gartner) to try to collect on the judgment. Gartner obtained an 86k judgment against Yippy after an arbitration in another state, then domesticated it here in Lee County. Don't have access the details of that, only the actual judgment since it's in the Lee County court records. The latest hearing is Gartner's attempt to garnish -- i.e. take -- the money from Yippy's BMO Bank account. Yippy has been served with process regarding the proceedings, but has not hired a lawyer to defend or otherwise try to prevent Gartner from collecting on the judgment. I find that strange, because it indicates that for some reason Yippy does not care about potentially losing 86k.
