Biotechnology stocks moved higher Monday, with shares of OSI Pharmaceuticals getting a boost from an analyst's positive comments. The Amex Biotechnology Index (BTK) added 1.5 percent. Shares of OSI Pharmaceuticals (OSIP) jumped $1.59, or 10 percent, to $16.89. Analyst Eric Ende at Merrill Lynch upgraded his rating on OSI's tock to "buy" from "neutral." In a note to clients, Ende said he's increasingly confident that OSI will be able to win regulatory clearance to market its experimental drug Tarceva as a treatment for a relatively rare form of brain cancer.
