It all boils down to the financial problems of Highpride/Endeavor Lines, which PVE is in NO way responsible, past or future.

Under arrest, as you may know, is a maritime legal term, in this case, for back wages owed to the crew. Again, Endeavor's responsibility.

My *guess* is that Endeavor made a promise of a charter to Peter and failed to meet the terms of Peter's agreement.

Meanwhile, *guess* Peter has been watching this little drama unfold and, when the timing, was right, made an offer on the vessel, perhaps for pennies on the dollar. Standard, patient negotiations.

I may be off-base about an outright acquisition, but close; perhaps with a merger partner or Peter chartering the ship from the partner.

Regardless, the Ionian Queen has a good rep and would be a coup for PVE.

Whilst Endeavor Lines earlier in the year strongly denied those concerning their operations, their Ionian Queen has recently appeared as a ‘premium listing’ on the website of a well-known ship broker. For six years this ships and her sister, the Ionian King, have been the best ships in Southern Adriatic service.
